Adobo chicken 🐔 🇵🇭
Seared chicken is poached in a Vinegar, ginger, garlic broth. Such a simple yet so dam good flavours going on in this dish. Served with steamed rice and crispy hassleback prawn. Delicious!!!!
3 tbsp sesame oil
4 inches of julienne ginger
10 garlic cloves
125ml light soy sauce
250ml cider vinegar
2 tbsp caster sugar
1 tsp chilli flakes
6 chicken thighs
Spring onion and Coriander garnish
👩🍳Add sesame oil to a pan, add chicken and brown on both sides.
👩🍳Remove chicken from pan and add ginger, whole garlic cook on a medium heat for 5 minutes.
👩🍳Add onion, soy sauce, vinegar, sugar and chilli to the pan. Add chicken back in, cover with lid and cook on low heat for 20 minutes.
👩🍳Remove the lid and cook for another 15minutes, the sauce will become slightly thicker. Serve with steamed rice, coriander and spring 🌿
